Besoain Los Morros Cabernet Sauvignon – Animating, youthful Cabernet Sauvignon from the Valle Central

The name LOS MORROS, or “the hills”, comes from the rolling hills of Chile’s central valley. In this special, mountainous terroir, winemaker Miguel Besoain produces artisanal wines using only the highest quality grapes.

The region’s climate is mild Mediterranean with an increase in rainfall the further south you go. However, the wine-growing conditions are very special in the longitudinal valleys along the Andes and the coastal mountain range, the “Cordillera de la Costa”. To take this into account, the designations “Andes”, “Between the Cordilleras” and “Coast” have been introduced here. The microclimate in these zones is very different. This applies not only to the amount of rainfall and humidity, but especially to the temperature fluctuations of up to 15 °C in summer.

Taste Unveiled: Exploring the Flavor Profile of the Los Morros Cabernet Sauvignon from Besoain Wines

The Besoain Los Morros Cabernet Sauvignon impresses with a lavish aroma of ripe black cherries, blackberries and cassis, underpinned with warm, spicy flavours of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg and hints of tea. On the palate, this Chilean red wine is full-bodied, juicy and very accessible, with plenty of fruit extract and supple tannins. The acidity is well supporting. A Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile full of character, typical of the variety, very balanced and with a long finish.
