A real Italian from Australia

The fresco is inspired by young and fresh Italian table wines without wood finishing. It is an exciting blend of 73% Nebbiolo, 6% Barbera and 21% Pinot Nero. The Nebbiolo, which makes up that of the blend, it contributes to the tannin structure and the amazing fragrance, while the other two grape varieties contribute acidity, buoyancy and juiciness. All the grapes were harvested by hand during the coolest time of day and immediately taken to the winery to preserve the fruit aroma. All varieties were fermented separately cold, left on the yeast and underwent a natural malolactic fermentation, which is crucial for mitigating the acidity of some varieties.

And this is how Longview’s Fresco tastes

From the glass of Longview Fresco flow delicate aromas of red cherries, strawberries and blackberries, followed by cloves, anise and moist soil. On the palate it is medium and well structured, with a core of cherries and strawberries, enveloped in spicy spice and hints of minerality. The tannins are fine-grained, the acidity delicate and balanced. A very fresh and accessible wine for immediate enjoyment.
