Uncomplicated drinking pleasure from Niagara

Lakeview Cellars is one of the lines of the Diamond Estate winery from Canada. The grapes for lakeview wines come from the best vineyards in the Niagara region and benefit from the coastal breezes of Lake Ontario. The peninsula is also bordered by Niagara Falls and Lake Erie. Therefore, the climate in summer is mild and therefore ideally suited for viticulture beyond the ice wine. The wines all bear the “VQA Niagara Peninsula” seal. VQA stands for “Vintners Quality Alliance”, an appellation and regulation system for original Canadian wines that guarantees quality and authenticity. Lakeview’s reputation stems from the winery’s commitment to producing premium VQA wines at affordable prices. The grape material for Lakeview Cellars Sauvignon Blanc comes from a 5-acre site that has been farmed for four generations. The grapes were gently pressed in a pneumatic press and then cold fermented for 14 days in stainless steel tanks. This Canadian Sauvignon Blanc style certainly appeals to all those who prefer rather delicate, subtle, but crisp fresh wines.

And what does Lakeview Cellars Sauvignon Blanc taste like?

This multi-layered Lakeview Cellars Sauvignon Blanc beguiles with delicate notes of tropical fruits, gooseberries and melon. The whole thing is accompanied by a subtle citrus note and slightly herbaceous tones. On the palate, this Canadian white wine is animatingly fresh and balanced, with delicate and invigorating acidity. A characterful, typical regional Sauvignon, suitable as an aperitif and as an uncomplicated partner, especially for light, summery dishes.

Which foods go well with Lakeview Cellars Sauvignon Blanc?

The Lakeview Cellars Sauvignon Blanc is fantastic with fish and sea fears. It also goes well with Mediterranean antipasti and summer salads. Try it with mozzarella with tomatoes, with white and green asparagus or with grilled vegetables, especially red peppers. We love this great wine from Canada with grilled chicken marinated with lemon juice along with sautéed asparagus. Traditionally, it is also the perfect partner for goat cream cheese, preferably with a Saint Maure de Touraine, a Valençay or a Crottin de Chavignol.
