This South African Cabernet Sauvignon matures to perfection in particularly fine-pored, French and American oak barriques. The Barns family’s business became known as a nursery. Over decades, Mischa Estate has developed into the third largest nursery in the southern hemisphere. However, this was no longer enough for the current owners, the brothers Andrew and Gary Barns. A few years ago, in addition to vine cultivation, they began to pursue their further passion and to prepare wine themselves. The Mischa La Famille Cabernet Sauvignon seduces with an intensely fruity scent of blackcurrants, mulberries and plums, underlaid with fine ripening notes of oak, cigar boxes and leather. Fine hints of black cherries and herbs are added. On the palate, this Cabernet is dense and full-bodied, with a lot of fruit extract and smooth tannin. The acidity is animating and well supportive.
