The grapes for the Amisfield Pinot Noir Ros\u00e9 come from the silty Waenga loam soils of the lower terraces close to the winery. They are characterised by bright berry aromas and a light tannin profile. After harvesting, the grapes were cold-soaked for around 4 hours before the colourful juice was pressed from the skins. This was then cold-fermented with selected aromatic yeasts. The finished wine was then left on the fine lees before being bottled early to capture the flavours and vibrancy.<\/p>\n

The 2023 Amisfield Pinot Noir Ros\u00e9 beguiles the nose with a whole basket of fresh summer berries. They literally jump out of the glass. The palate reveals flavours of strawberries, pomegranates and watermelon. The juicy acidity is well balanced by the intensity of the flavour. The finish is savoury, long-lasting and dry. A great ros\u00e9 from the south end of New Zealand.
