region. He came to New Zealand in 1975 in search of suitable land for the development of Method Champenoise vineyards. The family of Daniel, who was in the 12th generation champagne, has been producing champagne since 1648, and still does today. Father Rene, brother Jean-Claude and sister Isabel all produce in Champagne under their own labels. In July 1999, Daniel founded his fully family-owned winery No.1 Family Estate, which uses the same processes perfected by its champagne family in France over the last 12 generations. The winery has been equipped with state-of-the-art processing equipment imported from Champagne. The children of Daniel Le Brun and his wife Adele, Virginie and Remy have long been integrated into the company. Virginie is a well-known actress in New Zealand and is also involved in the marketing of the wine. Remy is just finishing his bachelor&#8217;s degree in viticulture and oenology and runs the winery in Marlborough. M\u00e9thode Marlborough, a group of 10 highly respected Marlborough producers, was founded to ensure the quality and heritage of Marlborough&#8217;s finest M\u00e9thode traditional. All M\u00e9thode Marlborough wines follow strict criteria: they must be produced exclusively from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grown in Marlborough as a blend or alone.
