After a long quarantine process following the importation of the vines from Austria, this grape variety was finally allowed to be cultivated in 2008. First, a small area in the Brightwater Vineyard was chosen to plant these very special vines. More recently, the vineyard in Edens Road has also been planted with Gr\u00fcner Veltliner.   The Edens Road vineyard is an extremely stony area where both water and nutrient levels are low. This helps to significantly limit plant growth and grape yield. To further enhance the flavours, the foliage of the vines is also regularly thinned out. This way, the light yield in the grape zone is much better. The vineyard is located 15 km from the coast and is protected from the south wind by the Richmond Mountains. The soils consist of rock and boulders. This makes agricultural cultivation difficult, but is an advantage when it comes to storing the sun's heat. Apple and pepper notes continue wonderfully. The acidity is piquant, delicate and perfectly integrated. An elegant, very varietal Gr\u00fcner Veltliner, long lasting."}
